HILL STATION IN HIMACHAL PRADESH

SHIMLA HILL STATION

Shimal was the summer capital of ‘British India’. This magnificent hill station was first discovered by the British in 1819. Following Independence, Shimla was initially the capital of the Punjab until the creation of Chandigarh.

MANALI HILL STATION

Manali is placed at the northern end of Kullu Valley. It is located at an altitude of 1829 meters above the sea level. This is one of the most popular hill station of Himachal Pradesh.

DALHOUSIE HILL STATION

Dalhousie hill station is located at an altitude of 2438 meters above sea level. This hill station spreads on the western edge of the snow covered Dhauladhar Mountains and at the east of Ravi River. This beautiful town is founded by Lord Dalhousie in 1854.

DHARAMSHALA HILL STATION

Dharamshala is best known as the seat of Tibet’s government in exile and the temporary home of his holiness. It’s a popular travel destination especially in March, when the Dali Lama gives public lectures. Dharamshala has breath taking scenic attraction.

KULLU HILL STATION

Kullu was once known as Kulanthpitha, which means the end of the habitable world. Beyond rose the forbidding heights of the Greater Himalayas, and by the banks of the shining river Beas, lay the fabled 'Silver Valley'.

PALAMPUR HILL STATION

Palampur is a fascinating hill station in the Kangra Valley is located in North eastern state of Himachal Pradesh. It is surrounded by tea gardens and pine forests and thus enjoys a healthy climate and pine scented air which is said to have curative properties.

ROHTANG PASS HILL STATION

Rohtang Pass is the highest point on the Manali-Keylong road. It provides a wide panoramic view of the mountains rising far above the clouds, which is truly a breath taking sight. Located at a height of 3979 m.
